Goshinkai Kendo Club
Formed in Perth, Western Australia in 2001 by members of the UWA and WA Budo clubs (Innaloo), the club was named Goshinkai from the Japanese characters 豪心会. The character 豪 (Go) means strength and also represents Australia. 心 (Shin) means spirit/heart and 会 (Kai) means group or association.
Our club motto is taken from the Japanese word 挑戦 (Chousen), which translates to "Challenge". Our challenge is to improve ourselves, to improve our kendo skills, to advance the standard of kendo in our club and in Western Australia in general, and to contribute to and advance kendo in Australia.
